The decision to blog was one I have procrastinated on for quite some time. I have a blog for the Bull City Music School but not a personal blog until now. I wrestled with what in the world do I write about? Anyone can look on the internet and find from a myriad of resources for whatever it is they need to know. Yes, that was defeatist talk. But don't we all do it at some point?
I recall talking with a friend who wants to start a reality show. The same defeatist talk came this time from her- not me. I found myself being the encourager and using the analogy of the bread aisle in the grocery store. If you don't know the analogy allow me to share. Walk down the bread aisle and you will see Wonder Bread, Sara Lee, Pepperidge Farm, the store brand and many more. All are bread right? Yes, but there is a little difference in each bread that will appeal to someone. Moral of the story is to do you. Your story, experience, and tips will resonate with someone.
My simple guidance (never advice) is to just get started. Find what quiets your soul and allows your mind to be as free as it needs to and create. If you have a dream, goal or project in you itching to get out. Do it! Do not wait for the "perfect opportunity". It's true my friends, you have to start. Be like Nike and just do it.
What are you waiting for? Habakkuk 2:2 , instructs us to "write the vision and make it plain."
